What is This Program About?

For a limited time only, the Pelham Board of Health along with the Quabbin Health District are providing complimentary private well water tests for those who live in Pelham in order to identify potential  contamination threats and to promote public health and safety for households with private wells.

What is in Your Water?

Private wells are not regulated or monitored for safety like public drinking water systems.

Households on a private well should take special precautions to ensure the safety of their drinking water. Having a water test is one way to ensure the water from your well is safe to drink.

Who is Eligible?

Please note that these free tests are only available for owner-occupied homes on private wells.

Per local Board of Health regulations, rental property owners are responsible for providing their own annual water quality tests.

How Can I  Apply?

If you live in Pelham and have a private well you would like tested, please click the link below to arrange for a visit to your property to collect a water sample. Our staff will meet you outside and instruct you on how to take the water sample from your tap.
